I found these on another camera, from our May trip to Buffalo. The boys loved the airport, especially in Buffalo. They could see more there!

I just have to share this...

During our trip to Disney this past March, my parents took Drake and his cousin to the fireworks. Drake called them boom booms, and my parents told him Mickey did the fireworks each night. Fast forward to the July 4th fireworks. Drake loved the fireworks, and kept saying "Thank you Mickey". I tried to explain that Mickey only did the fireworks at Disney, but his two year old mind can't quite comprehend that.

It's now mid July, and Drake is still OBSESSED with the boom booms. As in, goes to the window as bedtime is approaching, and says, "Peeeaaaasssseeee, Mickey, PPeeeeeaassssseeee, boom booms Mickey". And that's right, there's no L in pease. It's stinkin' adorable. Except I feel so bad for him, b/c all he wants are boom booms, and I can't do anything about it.

I got this in an email lately, and just loved it. So much so that I wanted to share it here!

Haters/ By Maya Angelou A hater is someone who is jealous and envious and spends all their time trying to make you look small so they can look tall. They are very negative people to say the least. Nothing is ever good enough! When you make your mark, you will always attract some haters... That's why you have to be careful with whom you share your blessings and your dreams, because some folk can't handle seeing you blessed... It's dangerous to be like somebody else... If God wanted you to be like somebody else, He would have given you what He gave them! Right? You never know what people have gone through to get what they have... The problem I have with haters is that they see my glory, but they don't know my story... If the grass looks greener on the other side of the fence, you can rest assured that the water bill is higher there too! We've all got some haters among us! Some people envy you because you can: a) Have a relationship with God b) Light up a room when you walk in c) Star t your own business d) Tell a man/woman to hit the curb (if he/she isn't about the right thing) e) you are a strong person and don't let people run you over f) you have a strong and loving marriage and they can't get in-between spouses to spoil it Haters can't stand to see you happy. Haters will never want to see you succeed. Most of our haters are people who are supposed to be on our side (like some family and friends). How do you handle your undercover haters? You can handle these haters by: 1. Knowing who you are & who your true friends are ; *(VERY IMPORTANT!!) 2. Having a purpose to your life: Purpose does not mean having a job. You can have a job and still be unfulfilled. A purpose is having a clear sense of what God has called you to be. Your purpose is not defined by what others think about you. 3. By remembering that what you have is by divine prerogative and not human manipulation. Fulfill your dreams! You only have one life to live...when it's your time to leave this earth, you want to be able to say, 'I've lived my life and fulfilled my dreams, Now I'm ready to go HOME! When God gives you favor, you can tell your haters, 'Don't look at me...Look at who is in charge of me...' Pass this to all of your family & friends who you know are n ot hating on you including the person who sent it to. If you don't get it back, maybe you called somebody out! Don't worry about it, it's not your problem, it's theirs. Just pray for them, that their life can be as fulfilled as yours! Watch out for Haters...BUT most of all don't become a HATER! The last of the Disney photos!

We stayed and the Beach and Yacht club, for the pools. It was great, but I wish it would've been warmer. Part of their big pool is sand for the little ones. They loved it!

On our last day, we went back into Epcot for a couple of rides, and lunch with the princesses.

We had to change into jeans, buy sweatshirts, and wrap the kids in blankets.
I wish you could see how stinkin' cute the boys shirts were! Suspenders and ties, with a Mickey on it!
Being this was the last day, and it was approaching naptime, the boys were over it.

This was how tired Drake was. We broke the "crib and car" rule for having his binkie, and let him have it at the table. He was rubbing his ears like crazy, and just exhausted.

More Disney!

I know it's June. And that we went to Disney world in March. However, sometimes getting the opportunity to blog is scarce. I'm making a little time tonight. I really want to finish blogging the whole trip, so it'll be in the 2011 book when I print it. So, without any further delay, our third day in the world. We headed to Magic Kingdom! We left Eric and Eli back at the hotel that day, b/c Eli woke up with a fever and was quite cranky. Poor baby! We did a character lunch with the Pooh cast, and it was really good food. After that, Eric and Eli came and met up with us. My parents were super nice and took Eli back to the hotel that afternoon, and we stayed in the park for a bit with Drake.

Town hall front entrance. We got there early enough to see the train come in, and the opening show. Super duper cute!

He was already excited and showing Grandpa stuff, and we weren't even in the park yet!

We did the "Dumbo Dash", which was totally not worth it. In any case, mark it off the bucket list!

A ride on the ferry boat. It was nice and shaded on the lower levels!
Eli started feeling a little better in the afternoon, and Eric brought him to meet the rest of us. He then proceeded to have a nap! He really didn't feel good.

Trip to New York (Canada)

Over Memorial Day weekend, we headed to see Eric's family. We actually spent the entire trip up in Canada, at his parent's cottage. We had lots of fun visiting with everyone, and the boys loved playing with their cousins! On that Sunday, their was a big party for his Dad's 60th Birthday. The boys partied it up!

Oma was in heaven with everyone there!

Eli was by far the sandiest kid there.
A fun afternoon! Oma hung with the kids, the boys chilled in the grass, and the girls chilled on the porch.

Drake really wanted to hold Nora. He also kept taking her food while she was in the exercauser, so we had to watch him closely!


An early morning walk down to the beach was amazing. Perfect temperature, and the water was so calm and pretty to look at. The older kids had a blast running down the dunes, while Eli contently sat and chewed on a sandy stick. (Mommy ruined his fun).




Birthday Boy!
During Denny's party, all the ladies took a walk to the beach. Drake wanted to go, and did until he realized I wasn't coming. Someone had to walk him back:-)

The boys had on precious matching outfits for Memorial Day.

Look! One of the cottage neighbors (Hi Linda!) has a cup from our reception a few years ago.
