Quick word about our dogs...

Before the comments start flying about our dogs near the baby......

They are only allowed in the same room with Drake if we are in there as well. They are SO gentle, and just want to sniff him alot. Lucy whines when he cries, like she's in pain too. We test them in little five minute increments, which are what the photos are from. When we let them near Drake, they end up just lying down beside him after a good sniff. They are hearing alot of the "leave it" command these days. We're teaching them that they can only go near the baby if given permission. So don't worry, our dogs do NOT have freedom around mommy's little prince. They are lucky to get time near him once or twice a day. But I wanted everyone to see how cute it is when we do actually let them spend time together!

Christmas and NYE

I'm sure I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Eric and I had a fabulous holiday season. It involved lots of relaxing and napping, and NO TRAVELING! As much as we love spending time with family and friends, it was so nice to have a year without having to pack up and hit the road or airport. That was the last thing I wanted being so preggo. Here are some pics:

Eric and I went to a NYE party at Joel and Anna's. It was also Anna's 30th birthday, so we had a double celebration. I stayed at til 12:10am, which was very impressive for the lady 38 weeks pregnant.

All the girls: Anna, Hayley, Michelle, Melissa, Kim, Jill, and me. As if it's difficult to really tell which one is me, with the massive belly.
I think this was Chrismas Eve if I remember correctly. Eric and I went to dinner with a bunch of friends, where LOTS of wine was consumed. Except by the knocked up DD of course. This was when we got home- Eric had a nap on the couch with princess Lucy.
Linus got a bow Christmas morning. He is so darn cute.
Eric after too much wine.....this is Lucy's everyday look. Lucy now weighs 99 pounds, and was scolded at the vet this past week. She has to go on diet food, and get less with each feeding. She is NOT happy about it.

Movies

I've seen three movies in the past month.......I'm trying to make up for all the ones I know I won't be seeing in the next year. 4 Christmases was good, typical comedy for Reese Witherspoon and Vince Vaughn. On Christmas Day, we set out to see Marley and Me, but it was sold out everywhere. We ended up seeing Seven Pounds with Will Smith and Rosario Dawson. I really just cannot say enough about this movie. I think everyone should go out and see it tomorrow! It was intriguing and capitivating; I don't say that about many movies. You really have to pay attention though- there are alot of things you'll miss otherwise. One thing that was really interesting about it, is that you never really know what exactly the movie is about. There are so many unanswered questions the whole way through. GREAT movie- Go see it!

Today I went and saw Marley and Me with my girlfriends Jill and Melissa. We bawled our eyes out! It was so good, and an honest look at a family's life with their dog. I came home and gave both of my dogs a big ol hug. I love my doggies. I know they will take the back seat once Shim arrives, but I sure do love them. They are both awesome. Beach trip July 2008

Eric and I returned from a few days down at the beach on yesterday! It was quite relaxing (for me) and I finally don't look like Casper the ghost. Eric hates being away from work, so he can't really relax. He should really get a life! I remembered why I don't often make it down to the beach- it's a 4-5 hour drive! Really long time to be in a car. I took lots of pics my last few days there, a couple are below.

My angel on the beach....this is Linus; Lucy was sick and had to stay home with Aunt Emily. Linus is a "Groodle", and Goldendoodle. He's a cross b/t a Golden Retriever and a standard poodle. He is a mommies boy, and SO sweet. I love him!

My cousin put her two adorable little girls in white dresses for some cute pics on the beach. And since photography is my hobby, that was right up my alley to tag along. Here is a cute one...

I'm thinking maybe I should've turned this before downloading it on blogger. I've still got quite a bit to learn about blogging! These are my two cute cousins!
Again, not turned...but GEEZ....I look huge from the side. Thankfully, I haven't gained any weight. Peculiar since I'm ALOT bigger, but I'll take the no weight gain. I'm loving the scale right now!
