Wanted to sahre

I got this in an email lately, and just loved it. So much so that I wanted to share it here!

Haters/ By Maya Angelou

A hater is someone who is jealous and envious and spends all their
time trying to make you look small so they can look tall.
They are very negative people to say the least. Nothing is ever
good enough!

When you make your mark, you will always attract some haters...

That's why you have to be careful with whom you share your
blessings and your dreams, because some folk can't handle seeing
you blessed...

It's dangerous to be like somebody else... If God wanted you to be
like somebody else, He would have given you what He gave them! Right?

You never know what people have gone through to get what they
have...

The problem I have with haters is that they see my glory, but they
don't know my story...

If the grass looks greener on the other side of the fence, you
can rest assured that the water bill is higher there too!

We've all got some haters among us!

Some people envy you because you can:
a) Have a relationship with God
b) Light up a room when you walk in
c) Star t your own business
d) Tell a man/woman to hit the curb
(if he/she isn't about the right thing)
e) you are a strong person and don't let people run you over

f) you have a strong and loving marriage and they can't get in-between spouses to spoil it

Haters can't stand to see you happy.
Haters will never want to see you succeed.
Most of our haters are people who are supposed to be
on our side (like some family and friends).

How do you handle your undercover haters?
You can handle these haters by:

1. Knowing who you are & who your true friends are
; *(VERY IMPORTANT!!)

2. Having a purpose to your life: Purpose does not
mean having a job. You can have a job and still be
unfulfilled.

A purpose is having a clear sense of what God has called you to be.
Your purpose is not defined by what others think about you.

3. By remembering that what you have is by divine
prerogative and not human manipulation.

Fulfill your dreams! You only have one life to live...when it's your
time to leave this earth, you want to be able to say, 'I've lived my
life and fulfilled my dreams, Now I'm ready to go HOME!

When God gives you favor, you can tell your haters, 'Don't look at
me...Look at who is in charge of me...'

Pass this to all of your family & friends who you know are
n ot hating on you including the person who sent it to.

If you don't get it back, maybe you called somebody out!
Don't worry about it, it's not your problem, it's theirs.
Just pray for them, that their life can be as fulfilled as
yours! Watch out for Haters...BUT most of all don't become
a HATER!

'A woman's heart should be so hidden in Christ that a man
should have to seek Him first to find her.'

Packing

I've always considered myself to be a good packer. I certainly should be, as much as I've traveled. But this having a baby stuff has really thrown me off kilter. I bought a HUGE new suitcase, and I still can't fit all of mine and Drake's stuff in it. Close, but no dice. I still need to fit some toys, bottles, and disposable diapers. I fit all of his real diapers, but I want to take some sposies to the beach to test. I need to take sposies and formula to Punta Cana in July, in case they won't wash my dipes, and in case my milk isn't enough. We are testing the formula at the beach later this week as well. I'm just going to mix it with some breastmilk and let him have a couple of bottles to try. I want to make sure that (a) he'll drink it, and (b) his tummy tolerates it. I sure hope so! I'm worried about being in the Dominican Republic and not having something we need, so this week on vacation is our "test" week. I'll be taking tons of photos and video, and hopefully will get some posted. I'm taking my computer to aid in this lofty goal. If nothing else, at least I'll get them edited and ready to post.

Snow again?

What is this crap---it is March, and we are forecasted to get snow for the THIRD time this season. I am so sick of this nonsense....where is spring? I'm so anxious for warm weather, and so is Drake. We love walks, especially with Lucy and Linus. It's been raining all weekend, and I'm so ready for it to stop. Eric and I are getting ready to go to the mall, just to walk around and browse. We've got to get out of this house! I'm going to try and blog later about the Dave Ramsey course we are starting next week. I'm quite excited about it, so I can't wait to share about it with you all. And I really hope to shoot some more footage of my cutie patootie, and post it. Later!

25 Random Things

So, there is this thing spreading across facebook called "25 Random Things".....and now some are adding it to their blogs. So, I decided to write my own. Of course, right now my "things" tend to center around baby stuff, lol. Here we go:

1. It really pisses me off to no end when people mistakenly refer to a vaginal birth as a natural birth. Why are you scared to say vaginal???? That's what it was, use the friggin word. A natural birth is one without epidurals and drugs, and all the interventions. Get it straight. Rant over.

2. I had a NATURAL birth- epidural and drug free. And yes, I did it on purpose. I felt that was the best, healthiest, and most appropriate choice for Drake and I. That doesn't mean I think it's for everyone else.

3. My boxer Lucy and goldendoodle Linus are the coolest dogs in the entire world. I love them. They love Drake, and that makes me happy. I feel all warm and fuzzy inside when they are all chilled out together.

4. I really, really, really want a large master bedroom/suite with a huge master bath and closet. When I have that, I will know I've made it in life.

5. As much as I want to like working out, I simply don't. I feel good once it's done, but I simply can't make myself go to the gym.

6. I've completed numerous 5K's, an 8K, a half marathon, and a triathlon. All of this despite not liking the gym.

7. I'm super duper happy that I traveled before having kids. I would've really regretted not going to Europe before Drake.

8. I feel I grew up extremely sheltered, and no I don't think that's a good thing. I also think it's really hard to get a child to understand, that the rest of the world isn't exactly the same as where they are growing up.

9. I LOVE, LOVE , LOVE living in Charlotte. I throw a temper tantrum every time my husband suggests moving. I have awesome friends here.

10. Reading is my favorite thing ever. Especially the author Jodie Picoult. When I was little and would get money for birthdays and Christmas, I bought books instead of toys. Weird, I know.

11. I really love vacations and traveling. Particularly cruises and all inclusive resorts. Eric and I have been on 5 cruises together.

12. If I could choose to be really good at something, it would be photography. I enjoy taking and looking at beautiful photos.

13. I think that the meanest and most hurtful thing someone can ever say to me is that I'm a selfish and bad mother. I try to give everything to Drake.

14. I thought I'd be good at getting Drake on a schedule, and letting him cry it out in order to achieve that. But I suck. I simply can't let him cry. I don't give a crap if he's never on a precise schedule, I'm not letting him lay there and scream.

15. I've discovered that my beliefs meet many of the attachment parenting ideals. Pretty much all of them except cosleeping.

16. Breastfeeding is something I'm passionate about. It was even before I had Drake. I can't comprehend why people choose not to even try, and can't talk about it with people who choose that. It gets me really worked up. And if someone ever says anything to me about nursing in public, I will light their ass up.

17. Me and my girlfriends here in Charlotte call our little group "The Sugars". The way that name came about is too scandalous to put on a blog that my grandmother reads. Sorry Sissy!

18. I want a backyard pool. A heated pool. With a hottub that overflows into the pool. And cool patio furniture. Think southern california mansion backyard.......

19. I cloth diaper my son. Yes I like it. No I don't think it's gross. Don't knock it unless you've tried it.

20. I love researching things that impact Drake. Right now it's all about vaccinations. I plan to delay/selectively/non vax to some degree. Ultimately, he will get what he needs for school.....but I'm not giving my child 4-6 freaking vaccinations at one time. I truly think that is absurd.

21. I think it's sad that I can't think of 4 more things about me; they all focus around Drake.

22. I used midwives for my pregnancy care, and for Drake's delivery. They rock. I will never use another OB, unless I have to for a high risk situation.

23. I'm on team Aniston. I think Angelina is a husband stealing bitch. But I also admire her humanitarian work.

24. I would love to adopt a child, particularly a mixed race child. Unfortunately, my husband has no desire to adopt.

25. It annoys me that people think I help a doctor give anesthesia. I do it myself thank you very much!
