A fun Saturday!!!

Saturdays are fun here since we are usually both off, plus Drake has gymnastics. However, we were so busy today that we didn't even make it to gymnastics. We started it off with a trip to Waffle House. We used to go to the Original Pancake House every weekend, but we've switched. Waffle House has much better hash browns, and is much cheaper. And Drake LOVES their waffles.

After a quick nap, we headed to our neighborhood's annual Easter egg hunt. Drake is completely oblivious to holidays. We took him to the egg hunt mainly to socialize and play, and for us to socialize with other parents. We had a good time, despite it being a little chilly at 10am. I wasn't sure that he would even realize that he was supposed to be picking up the eggs, or hunting for them. We didn't even take him a basket, but some super nice people we walked to the park with gave us an extra one they had. He did enjoy toting it around. AND, he got an egg!!! One whole egg! He enjoyed shaking it and carrying it around, and never had any idea that it was candy inside that was making all the noise. Drake was a big fan of playing afterwards, since the egg hunt was down at the playground. He also really wanted a cupcake! They had some smaller sweet treats for the little kids, so we gave him part of one of those. Overall, he had a blast at the egg hunt. Next on Drake's Saturday schedule....the Whitewater Center.

(One last note, just because it's cute. Drake rocked to sleep at 6pm tonight, after all the fun! He usually goes to bed between 7:30 and 8.)
